Welcome to Jobs Insight

A free jobs seekers service run by Business Insight from Birmingham Central Library, but available anywhere in the Birmingham area through our partnership network.

We want to help you take charge of your life by matching your skills and interests to opportunities in the workplace, whether unemployed, changing career, a late returnee or seeking promotion.

It's your future whether you want to start a business, need new skills for work, help with job searching or interview techniques, basic form filling or compiling a CV. We specialise in helping the disadvantaged find work or start self employment through practical help to get lone parents, ex-offenders, redundant workers, refugees and many others to where they want to be.

Our Partners

Working Links is an organisation quite unlike any other. Our work tackles social exclusion and poverty head on by helping disadvantaged individuals and communities.

We believe long-term employment is the best route out of poverty. Since 2000, we have helped over 90,000 people across the UK back into the workplace through our work in communities.
We use a holistic approach to deliver effective solutions, which help more than just the individual by making communities a better place to live and work.

As a public-private-voluntary partnership between the Government’s Shareholder Executive, Manpower, Capgemini and Mission Australia, we combine the expertise of three sectors to address the real needs of communities and businesses.

Profit is not our main focus. Our shareholders endorse the organisation’s social purpose and are interested in how we can create long term value. This means we invest in the quality of services and the communities where we operate. In 2004 we launched an independent charitable trust, The Links Foundation. They invest in valuable community projects and so far the Foundation has donated £1.2 million.

Working Links has grown over the years and operates in more than 90 locations across England, Scotland and Wales and delivers more than 70 contracts. Its workforce has increased to more than 1,200. As a people-focused organisation, it was listed as one of the best companies to work for in the Times 100 Best Companies 2007
